The LGBTQ+ Community

We are looking for college students who have skills in:
Writing/Editing
Print Design
Photography
Videography
Social Media

Students will interview and photograph people who want to share their experiences and create a print book with the stories and challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. They will also digitally record interviewees to create videos that will go on our website. Our community partner is the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. Students will visit the center and hear from the organization’s leaders.

The program takes place in
Reading, PA
on Labor Day weekend:

Friday, August 30 (evening) to Monday, September 2, 2019

WANT TO PARTICIPATE?

Students should first read the minimum requirements. If they meet these, they can submit the initial application anytime before May 1. They will then receive an email with information about what to include in their official application packet that must be submitted by June 1. Email communication is extremely important prior, during, and after the selection process.
