In September 2015, nine students from four different colleges spent Labor Day weekend at the Opportunity House homeless shelter in Reading, PA. They interviewed the residents and recorded their stories in an 8-page newspaper. They also created a website that existed for approximately two years.
The newspaper they created is going to be transformed into a book as part of program manager Dawn Heinbach’s thesis in Publishing.
